CLASS C TOP TEN MEET TEAMS  #3

  1. Valentine
  2. David City
  3. Syracuse
  4. Battle Creek
  5. Kearney Catholic
  6. O’Neill
  7. Ord

  10. Raymond Central
  11. Co – Raters: Jared Owens  Tekamah Herman  & Jason Freudenberg  Madison  (BOTH)

Contenders: Broken Bow, North Bend Central, Ft. Calhoun, Cross County/Osceola

COMMENTS:: Valentine is still the clear front-runner with someone rated in 10 weight classes.   David City moves into the number two slot with 5 rated wrestlers and several near the top.  Syracuse is 3rd with 5 rated wresters and 2 number 1 rated wrestlers.  Battle Creek has 6 rated wrestlers with one number 1 rated wrestler. Kearney Catholic has 5 rated wrestlers with a couple of 2nd rated guys.   O’Neill is 6th with 2 number 1 rated wrestlers and 3 total rated wrestlers.  Ord has 3 rated guys.  Aquinas has two guys rated with a SC pick and several guys that are close to the ratings.  Wood River has 2 number 2 rated wrestlers and Raymond Central rounds out the top ten with 2 rated wrestlers, a SC pick, and a couple others that are contenders.

CLASS C TOP TEN DUAL TEAMS  #3

  1. Valentine
  2. Battle Creek
  3. Syracuse
  4. Kearney Catholic
  5. David City
  6. Broken Bow
  7. North Bend Central
  8. Ord
  9. Sutton
  10. Aquinas Catholic

Contenders: O’Neill,

COMMENTS: Valentine still looks really tough, and Battle Creek has a very complete team and has beaten O’Neill in a dual and Class D top 10 Creighton.  I think Syracuse right now beats Kearney Catholic and David City based on match-ups.  Kearney Catholic beats David City for the same reasons.  I also think they have a higher seed coming out of districts.  Broken Bow and North Bend Central are next each with not very many guys rated but several that are close and being able to fill out complete teams with quality guys in most weights.  Ord and Sutton don’t have a ton of top end talents but can put a quality kids in over half the weight classes. Aquinas has some good top end talents but my struggle to compete with more complete teams.
