Coaches Hall of Fame: Dominic Reicks

Hall of Fame – 2009

Dom Reicks has been coaching at Ravenna High School for 26 years. Having wrestled in high school at Pope John Central Catholic he captured the State Champ title twice ( 1977, 1978) with his Senior year record being 30-0. He was also a 3x NAIA National qualifier while at Kearney State College. In addition he has been the Youth coach all this time in Ravenna and has also been the co-coach of the NSWCA All Star Team in ’03 and ’04. He was chosen District Coach of the Year in ’01 and ’07 and received the Vern Ekfelt Class C Coach of the Year award in 2007. As a team at state that year they took second place in Class C. Dom also was chosen Skills USA-Nebraska Advisor of the Year in 2001.He considers his biggest thrill having coached five State Champs and numerous State Placers and taking the 2nd place Team Finish in 2007.
