Wrestled for David City Aquinas in high school
Wrestled at Midland College
Have coached Football for 33 years
Coached on 2 State Championship football teams
Wrestled in and medaled each year in the first 20 Cornhusker State Games
Published a wrestling newsletter in Nebraska  called The Headlock for 10 years.
Have been the state record keeper since 1987
Have been the AAU National coach for National Dual Teams and Grand Nationals
Have been the USA National coach for National Dual Teams and Junior Nationals
Have served several terms on the NSWCA executive Board
Have served as President of the NSWCA
Have been the NCA Coach of the year
Have been the NSWCA Coach of the year 7 times
Have been the Metro Coach of the year 9 times
Have been the AAU Man of the year in wrestling
Served as director of the Kaufmann/Brand Open for many years
Inducted into the Kaufmann/Brand HOF in 2013
Have served as the tournament director for the NCAA II National Tournament

Family:
Wife: Jill. Have been married for 31 years. We both went to Midland together. Jill was a wrestling cheerleader.
Daughters: Katie who graduated in 2001 and works for Triple A Insurance, Hayley who will be a Senior at Millard South, Hannah who will be 7th grade at Anderson Middle School
Sons: Aaron who graduated in 2006. Was a 3X State Champion and 4X finalist. Was a 4X National Qualifier in College and a 3x All-American. Was a National Champion as well. Manages a supplement store in St. Louis. Morgan who will introduce him graduated in 2009. Was a 4X State Placer and 2X State Champion. 3 year starter for Maryville University and will be a Senior next year majoring in Criminal Justice.
