Coaches Hall of Fame: Tony Horacek

COACHES HALL OF FAME
Tony Horacek
David City – Aquinas

I am the father of two beautiful (not always a good thing!) daughters named Dakota and Sadie.  I am originally from Omaha and wrestled my senior year at Holy Name High School.  While in college I volunteer coached until I became an assistant coach at Boys Town.  After graduating from college my first job took me to Aquinas High School.  I just finished my 18th year at Aquinas.  While I have been at Aquinas we have finished in the top 6 at the State Tournament 13 times. Out of those finishes we achieved 12 top 4 finishes, one State Runner-up finish and 3 Team State Championships.  I have been blessed to coach 128 State Qualifiers, 72 State medalist, 35 State Finalist, 7-2x State Finalist, 2-3x State Finalist, 1-4x State Finalist, 19 State Champions, 5-2x State Champions, Class C record of 4 State Champions in one year, and the Class D season and career takedown record holder.  Tony is being introduced by friend and fellow inductee Kenny Loosvelt of Madison.
