Kearney

David Miller was a 3 time State Champion and 1 time runner up ending his career with a 141-2 record.  When his career ended he held 10 state records including amassing an amazing total of 120 career pins, with 41 of those being consecutive.  He is the career points leader at Kearney High School.  He won 4 district and 3 conference titles.  He was the 1998 NSWCA Guy Mytty award winner for Class A.  Other awards include:  Kearney Hub All Area 1st team 4 years,  Dave Shultz Excellence award winner, USA Magazine Dream Team,  USA Junior National Greco Champ, Amateur Wrestling Magazine All American, Asics All American, Member of USA team vs.  Iowa and USA Team vs. Pennsylvania (Dapper Dan Classic). 

He continues to be involved in wrestling as an assistant coach at Kearney High School as well helping with SWAT wrestling club and the Kearney Great Plains AAU Club.  His biggest thrill was being part of the 1998 State Champion  team that set a then state record for points in a state meet.  The limo ride and police and fire truck escort through town with people lining the streets was “pretty neat.” David will be introduced by his former coach, Tom McCann, Hall ‘94
