Competitors Hall of Fame: Ted A. Glover

COMPETITOR
Hall of Fame – 2010
Wilber-Clatonia and Norris

Ted Glover was a four time state medalist and two time state champion.  Glover earned a 5th place medal for Wilber-Clatonia his freshman year before moving to the Norris area.  During his three years at Norris he was 3rd, 1st and 1st.  Including an undefeated season his junior year, when he became Norris’ first state champion. He wrestled twice in All-Star duals Nebraska vs. Kansas and Nebraska vs. South Dakota. After compiling a 101-11 career record he wrestled in college for Northwest Missouri State and UNL before ending his college career at Northwester College in St. Paul, MN.  At Northwestern he was a two time All-American and National Champion at the National Christian College Athletic Association tournament.

He has continued to be involved with wrestling as a coach at Lincoln Christian for 6 years, West Point-Beemer for 6 years and he is currently head coach of Platteview High School.  His biggest thrills were being part of a team that won conference and district championships in high school, a part of a team that won the NCCAA tournament, and as a coach…”seeing one of my wrestlers achieve something that at one time was only a dream that seemed way too big to achieve.”  Ted is being introduced by his former coach Ron Severson, Hall ‘91.
