Hall of Fame – 1982
Fred Pisasale wrestled for Omaha Central during 1943-46 and was a state champion in 1944. He attended then Omaha University and with the help of Charlie Mancuso persuaded the college to hire Allie Morrisson in 1949 to begin a wrestling program. After graduating from college Pisasale pioneered a program at Omaha Benson the last Omaha school to institute a program. With the support of then principal Howard Sorenson, Pisasale guided the fledgling program for six years.
Mr. Pisasale began his officiating career in 1955 and has officiated for over 26 years. During that officiating career he garnered more than a few Metro Official of the Year awards. He is the tennis coach at Benson and continues to officiate donating much time to Boys Clubs, City Recreation Leagues and other programs.
